Our engineering team powers job applications for some of the UK’s biggest employers, from complex databases and caching systems to customer-facing APIs and web apps.

We are growing our team and looking for Senior Software Developers to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for an ever-evolving platform

Our Tech Stack

Backend: mainly PHP8 and Symfony/Laravel-based packages, all running with MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, Nginx and other services running on AWS. All versions are controlled using git repositories on GitHub. 

Frontend: includes HTML5 (Twig and Smarty templating engines), CSS3, SASS and JavaScript, as well as jQuery, React, and plenty of NativeJS

What you’ll be doing

  • Work on various work streams from large to small projects, through to bugs and code defects.

  • Participate in planning and estimation exercises and support others with their estimations.

  • Translate and build high-level requirements into workable and scalable solutions.

  • Review other team members’ code to ensure its fit-for-purpose and its conformance to company standards and security policies.

  • Collaborate with all relevant parties on the management and deployment of code.

  • Take responsibility for work quality, ensuring it meets the technical standards outlined in the development best practices.

  • Contribute to Tribepad’s progress towards its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments.

About you

  • Proven experience of working with PHP (5.6+) in both OOP & Procedural form.

  • Laravel or Symfony-based frameworks. 

  • Understanding of TDD and DDD.

  • A proven background working with React and solid knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals, including modern ES6 syntax.

  • Database experience, ideally MySQL or PostgreSQL.

  • Experience with designing large-scale web applications.

  • Experience with high-transaction systems. 

  • Able to work individually and collaboratively within a team.
